SMEs account for around 99% of the UK business population, and as such have a vital role to play in sustainability and reaching climate change targets.

We recognise that many smaller businesses want to improve their energy efficiency and lower their carbon footprint, though they face a number of challenges in getting started, such as:

  • Lack of knowledge
  • Lack of time
  • Lack of funds

This is where we can support you.

The Energy Innovation Agency works with a number of innovative, low-carbon energy businesses, some of which can be found on our Solutions Page. As an Agency, we have the expertise to draw up a clear pathway to decarbonisation for your business, advising the most suitable, market-ready technologies to meet your energy needs.

If time or resource is a barrier to you, our team have the skills and experience to support you through the process, enabling you to carry on with day-to-day activities and therefore minimising operational impact.

If funding is a barrier, eligible businesses can also access our Energy Accelerator funding programme, which will help you successfully deploy these innovative technologies, maximising both cost and carbon savings. You can find out more details of the funding here.

We're hosting a 'Cut Carbon, Save Costs' webinar on 6th December, which will explore the key areas in which low-cost, easy to implement, energy efficient changes could be made which could help businesses perform more efficiently, reduce costs, and contribute positively to carbon neutral goals. We'll also be joined by measurable.energy and DiscreteHeat who will introduce their energy solutions. Finally, we'll cover the details of the funding available through our Energy Accelerator project, and open up the session to any questions you may have.
