Following the recent announcement that the Energy Innovation Agency is to get a share of £100m in new funding, we are pleased to say that we are increasing the size of our team with two new roles. These new positions are an indication that we are meeting the challenge to accelerate the deployment of the latest and greatest net-zero energy innovations to help commercial and public sector buildings to decarbonise rapidly.

The first of the two roles is for a Business Development Lead - Low Carbon Housing Innovations. The person in this role will provide a suitably engaged customer base to enable the Agency to facilitate product and service innovation in response to a known demand or need where a clear route to market can be mapped. The role is essential to identifying and working with potential businesses with viable ideas or products that can be brought to market with our help.

The second role is for a Team Support Co-ordinator, who will assist and support both the Agency Director and remote-based team in the day-to-day running of the agency. They will, among other things, allocate new clients to the appropriate adviser. They will also coordinate and support visits from those clients, as well as from partners and funders.

These two roles will allow the Agency to continue to fulfil its important role in meeting Greater Manchester’s net-zero target and support the growth of energy innovation in the area. Our Energy Accelerator for non-domestic buildings is a great opportunity for us to accelerate the energy transition – supporting the local and national need for decarbonisation.
